1 Hour Transit Time in Doha Airport

Hi guys, some help please..

I'm travelling from Dubai to Ho Chi Minh City via Qatar Airlines so I have a stop over at Doha Airport... I have 1 hour and 10 minutes to catch the connecting flight to Saigon.. is that enough time?? (arrival time in Doha: 05:55)

The Qatar Airways staff who booked my tickets said there wouldn't be a problem.. but I just want to know if any of you have tried just a one hour stop over at the Doha Airport or somebody you know...

Are the transfers and the security check fast enough? What is the average time of clearing these procedures?

I'm pretty worried because I've read some stories of people who have missed their connecting flights :( I can't afford to miss the Saigon flight as Qatar Airways just flies there once a day!

Many thanks for the replies!

Taxi service providers take the issue of corporate social responsibility very seriously, exactly the way other service sectors do. Many taxi service providers give special service for special/handicapped citizens. Taxi chauffeurs often keep a wheelchair in their trunks to pick and drop handicapped people.Dublin Airport Taxi

Qatar airport is really small.. once you land just informt he ground staff of your connecting flight and it will not take you more than 10 mins to get to the next gate...

As long as your flight is not delayed into Doha you will be fine and QR are usually quite good with their timings...

Qatar Airport is very small compare to Dubai... it wont take 10 minutes to walk to your Saigon Flight

Transit queues at 0600hrs can be quite long. There are a helluva lotta flights coming in from all over the world and 90% of all those passengers are transiting Doha.

My advice is to get outta the bus ASAP and try and make the transit security queue at the earliest.

If you feel you're short on time, contact a QR rep as soon as you get into the arrival hall.

Thanks a lot for the prompt replies s_isale, flor1212, Colt45.. :)

How is the record of Qatar Airways for punctuality? Will the security check be full of people at around 6am?

My return flight to Dubai is even worse.. 56 minutes in transit! Am not too worried about this though as there are plenty of Doha - Dubai flights everyday.

Too bad Emirates and Etihad don't fly to Vietnam :/

You will have time not only for coffee, but for shopping as well. Liquor prices are quite competative at Qatar Duty free. Have a nice time.

If your incoming flight is delayed badly and they don't connect you on the Vietnam flight, they will put you up in a Hotel and ensure that you get on the next avbl flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

The time stated by you is time enough for you to make the flight, hell you make even be able to grab a coffee in Doha during transit ;-)

very isolated. Just trust your airline, any deviation will still be under their responsibility!
