about driving to Ras Laffan

Hi Guys,
How are you all? I need an advice or suggestion.
I have been placed in Ras Laffan for few months to work. But I live in Doha. So thinking to go to work by driving as going by taxi might be costly. I have driving license for Qatar but have never tried driving in Qatar. Which vehicle will be good to drive? SUV or Sedan? I don’t have experience of driving both of these. I used o drive only hatch back cars in India. Please give your suggestions.
Need car pool on monthly basis for ras laffan if any buddy is going there please contact: 77067410

Thanks guys for the replies. I will try for this car pooling option and if it doesn't workout I might look for a big vehicle as WT mentioned.
Hi,
I am driving Doha to Ras Laffan every Sunday to Thursday morning 7am in a SUV. If you are willing for car pooling please contact 66759049 because taxi might charge you a bomb.
And btw, I've 7 years of driving experience in QATAR!! :)
Dude don't worry just drive only few days you will feel fear after that you will be champ as you have already experience.
But keep in mind never be on fastest line and best of luck
...
A car is a car is a car .. They are all the same to drive .. The key issue is the driver himself
The first thing you need to understand is that there are traffic rules but nobody cares. The second thing is that you should have the biggest possible car. Then nobody will dare to hit you. If you want to survive keep in mind that all other drivers are idiots, and expect amazing behavior. I am driving with this attitude for 20 years in Qatar now and I have never had an accident so far. Good luck.
If you have a valid Qatar Driving license, it won't be an issue for you to drive. If you are not sure which vehicle to take for longer distance, stick to an Auto-gear Sedan.
If you don't have a valid driving license, then I guess, taxi or the bus it is for you...
