AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT
Hi,my husband will come in Doha on a Family visit visa but the sponsor was my sister, I was advise that I should give him an Affidavit of Support. Could you please advise me regarding the same;
I can I provide him Affidavit of Support even if I am not the Sponsor?
What are the requirement needed to apply?
I have herewith me our Marriage contract attested in Phil.
Are there any other documents I need to provide him just to have a hassle free flight from the Phil?
What other things/documents I need to arrange/do in Doha?
Thank you very much. Your comments and advise will be appreciated =)
Please send me some copy as well Sirs/ Madame - [email protected].... Thank you so much
can somebody send me a copy of the affidavit as well? Please! Thank you! [email protected]
hello please send it to me also at my email [email protected]. Thanks
hi, does anyone have a recent copy of the affidavit? can any send me a copy? thank you in advance!
exactly coelacanth, the family visa itself shows that you will support your family and of course you will not get the visa without the supporting documents you need here. Affidavit of Support is the worst thing I've ever known which you need to take from the embassy which NAIA immigration only ask whenever they feel it after paying QR100 each here where visa was also stamped on the passport. Other countries only need the print out of the visa.
That I so kind of you Coelacanth I would really appreciate it, I hope you found it =)
Yah having an affidavit is just a redundancy our system back home is really something. I just wish that he won't be ask of those things. I bet NIA people is just looking for some grease. How sad...
Yram...i'll try to go through my mail and send to you a copy. I find it absurd for them to require an affidavit of support under a family visit visa, and worse, pay for it, when the sponsor itself is the family member. A family member sponsoring the travel of another family member, and they need proof that the sponsor is supporting the visitor? How stupid is that? Don't tell that it is part of the system because my mother in law and sisters in law all arrived here WITHOUT them showing the stupid paper.
I was just a little hesitant to ask that to my sister as she has done so much and I know she have other things to do too. I was thinking if I can provide it why not give it a try.
As things turned I think I have to ask for a favor again.
And no I don't have my sister's salary certificate she works in Qatar Airways and she applies in there immigration.
Why can't I just provide it regardless if I am not his sponsor.
This sucks
they will ask for the original salary certificate..Before I used the copy of the salary cert. i submitted to the immigration because it was written both in Arabic & English..the lady said we need original to verify the salary so i told her i have my contract with me the original so you can verify if it the same..she said no we need original SC..what the F..
one more thing, did you keep copy of the arabic letter your sister provided in order to secure visa for your husband? is the salary amount, just even the figures are in English? if yes, then you do not need to ask for another salary certificate this alone can be accepted by the embassy, they just want to see how much the sponsor is earning and if they are declaring the true value. I did it before with my brother.
Yes, by providing him a copy of your updated OEC, the money collectors in NAIA will waive at least half of the travel tax and I can't recall if he will not pay anymore or he will pay half or full amount in the immigration since he is an OFW dependent.
why don't you submit the documents of your sister the one who applied for the visa? whats wrong with that?.. If you want your husband to reach doha without trouble just follow the procedure and that it...
Thanks for the info Nelcruz but, as I was not his sponsor Can I still apply for the Affidavit of support for my husband assuming I have all Salary certificate,my document copy and his. Would our embassy approves this? Please let me know
Thank you Certified Bisdak =)
To apply for affidavit of support in phil embassy, you need the following:
- Visa copy.
- Salary statement of your sponsor.
- Photocopy of sponsor passport.
- Photocopy of the visitors passport.
- 100QR fee.
PM Sent...
And is it also true that I can reduce the travel tax & terminal fee if I provide him a copy of my OEC?
Wow! more that I expect anyways thanks Radius, would also like to ask you if you had experience in providing affidavit support to a family too. would love to know your opinion and knowledge regarding the same. As this is my first time too. And I am a little worried because I was not his sponsor I may not be able to provide him the affidavit.
Help =(
travel tax & terminal fee, not more than P3k total
Thanks Coelacanth, That is a problem I do not know anyone who have an affidavit maybe you can send yours? =)
And I was just curious did your sister in law paid for the traveling tax too? Some say they have to pay before living like around 2k.
Yes, you can...instead of paying 100QR for a useless document, go find someone who had one and scan a copy and change the details...re-scan in black and white and send it to your husband via email. The immigration official have no facility to validate it's authenticity. I did mine for my sister in law last December, and immigration official did not even looked at it. However, if you feel like getting ripped off in the Embassy, it's your choice.
