Anyone-ideas for Charity Drive-

Hi all, I have just arrived in Doha a few weeks ago and during this time the unfortunate incidents in Myanmar and China occured. I'm sure everyone knows the people over in these countries need all the help they can get. I was thinking maybe we all can set up a collection centre where everyone can submit their donations, clothes, toys, food etc. (New, used, good condition items only please) I am sure we got lots to spare to try and help them rebuild their lives. Please if anyone can suggest how to go about doing this here, with regards to posting out flyers for this drive, venue, volunteers, packing and shipping to the designated countries etc. Maybe we can get this started soon. Mucha appreciated. ~ Liz

There are many other groups working for charity especially (Red Crescent) and one well driven group which does not attract a lot of publicity but is joined with "Helping Hands" based in Dubai is run by Whoami here in Doha.

He has a small storage area which he uses to collect and distribute goods to the workers on a regular basis also call cards so that labourers can call home.

During the Summer the labourers can use donations of water on the street so if you have botles of water in your car just give it to them they will be thankful.
