Bio Bil Wax.. never again!

For all those ladies who want to maintain their dignity DON'T go for a wax at Bio Bil!

I just got back from there, and they've changed their setup. The waxing room is now right next to the entrance and all that is separating you for people coming in is a sliding frosted glass door that doesn't even close properly! Also there is no lock, so basically you have no privacy!!

Another thing is that the room is very dirty - other people's hair all over the floor, the bed is wobbly and I almost fell off at one point when it collapsed into a lying position. AND to add insult to ego-injury, they've raised their prices from 20 - 50 Qr for a bikini line and 110-130Qr for full leg... for those prices there are better places which don't offer public embarrassment as a free extra!!!

If anyone can recommend someone, please let me know

To those who want to be pampered with good massage, manicure, pedicure and nail art, waxing, body scrub and hammam damashqi, eyebrow threading in an exclusive and hygienic environment, try Diva Lounge at Al Kinana Street. The prices are reasonable, too.

the service (body massage) is still good but the facility is no good. I don't mind the price I pay for the service but the place is not good at all...

myself and many of my friends tried BioBil Beauty Center in Doha, the one near CityCenter Mall and we found it to be one of the best place to go for anything women need.

that sounds like a very good plan - and it's in the privacy and comfort of my own home (minus frosted glass doors!)

Why don't you wax yourself at home? Making sugar based wax is so easy... I understand that the bikini area is tricky but you can easily wax your leg by yourself.

Recipe for sugar wax:

2 Kg sugar

250 ml water

125 ml lemon juice

Put all the above in a pot (a very big one) and let it boil on medium heat for about 40 minutes, without stirring.

After it cools down, put 4 ½ handfuls of water.

If the consistency is not what good, you can always add more water (if too hard) or cook a little longer (if too soft). Please wait for the wax to cool down a little, you don't want to burn yourself. You can keep the left overs and warm it again in the microwave next time you need to wax.

To wax you can cut an old pair of jeans in strips. All you have to do is wash it after you're done, the wax will disolve in water.
