Is it a good decision to buy an old prado year 2003 about 250Km

It really depends on your ambitions. Don't go for it if you have no idea about car mechanics and just want to drive every day. Go for it if you love "old" cars and are able to judge by yourself what needs to be done. - I always bought "old" cars in Qatar, for an apple and an egg. But I could always do most of the maintenance myself or "assist" the mechanic in the garage. My current car is a Wrangler TJ 1997 and I have no problems at all with it (after I've changed the universal joints of the front propeller because of some vibrations at higher speed). I wouldn't go for a new Wrangler at all. They are just bad copies of the iconic TJ!

1) how much does the seller want for it?

2) how long do you plan on keeping the car?

3) are you the kind of guy that is comfortable with dealing with mechanics and buying spare parts and has basic familiarity with how cars work? Or are you someone who wants nothing to do with anything under the bonnet and just want the car to start each morning and pass its inspection?

Answer these questions and we can then help you make an informed decision...i would not say just drop the idea... Because depending on the price and condition of the car, it might just be an absolutely cracking deal...

Sanju, Drop this idea ............... Never go for a car which is above 100K ............. it will give more trouble than joys ............. Think for Ford Explorer 2013 - 2015 model ......... you will find all the pleasure in this car ....... soft on your pocket also ...............

It all depends whether it has been regularly serviced and repaired, what the condition is and ofcourse the price...

250k is a lot of mileage and things will have started to wear significantly.. So you could end up spending money to fix..

I would avoid..

Nothing will happen. Indians just love Prado so no problem of re-selling.

I would not go for it. The model is just too old and after a couple of years, you may find it difficult selling it off. Also, since it has clocked 250km, the cost of maintenance will be high.
