Buying watches from Amazon
By urstrulyash •
Dear friends, good morning. Have anyone purchased watches from Amazon recently in Qatar? Especially the ones of price range 3000$ and above. Do they ship to Qatar? If yes, do they send genuine items with warranty card, box, original papers as they post in the website, or send replicas or fakes? Do they have cash on delivery option to Qatar? Would really appreciate if anybody had first hand experience and would share it here. Thanks in advance and TC.
I have bought several dozen items from amazon and ebay using Aramex Shop and Ship so shipment is not an issue at all. Watches sold on amazon are genuine with papers but these watches are grey market watches and their warranty and service cannot be done at their authorized dealer. So even though you will buy a genuine watch from amazon but if there is any issue then instead of taking it to a local service center, you have to ship it back to the amazon seller who sold you the watch. I prefer to buy expensive watches $5k-$10k locally or while I am traveling as you can compare and get good discount/price on them.
Thank you all for the feedback. so atleast I know now that I can buy thru ebay. I had checked amazon.com site and found they have shipping charges defined for middleeast, and Qatar is also listed in that. but thought to ask fellow QLers about their experience with amazon.
Urstrulyash,
I've purchases watches also before from e-bay, but not of those expensive one. All genuine. They've shipped to Qatar thru Aramex. I'm not so sure about direct delivery by using your mailbox for items that have free shipping options. No COD. They(Aramex) charge according to weight - for 3 watches I believe I paid QAR 75.00.
What does Amazon charge to ship a watch to Qatar?
