My husband n I got here in qatar and immediately got a job. new law says, women expatriates working in qatar can sponsor her husband and children with a bracket salary of 7000 riyal per month. but the problem is, my husbands' salary and my salary didn't reach that bracket, neither one of us. we were thinking of combining our salary together to make it 7000 riyal. but, i am not sure if this is possible? if anyone knows about this, i badly need your answer. because my daughter is 4 yrs. old leaving alone with my relatives and badly need us by her side. i am so desperate to see and hug her. pls. if someone can give me enough solution, pls. do. i will really, really appreciate it.

thank you so much.

first i would like to thank you for all who send their comments

to make it clear i am not under husband sponsor

we are working with the same company with the same sponsor, my son is under my husband sponsor by the help of our company.

reason for going home to the phils. is a personal matter to tackle here only i wanted to know my right & the possibility to sponsor my baby once my husband will leave the country reason is i dont want him to take my baby ofcourse being a mom itis more difficult to let your son away from you..

thank again...

Solomon "my problem is my husband w/c unfortunately feel unhappy with his job would like to resign & go home to the Philippines."

However you do bring up a good point, having a 6 month old baby is no time to feel "unhappy" with your job and leave all responsibility to the mother to work and take care of the baby and perhaps send money home to the "unhappy" husband.

Lets not get into her personal life details about separation etc thats her problem, lets just stick to her issue here.

why is husband going home without the child or his wife? Was he terminated or is this a case of husband/wife separating? 6-months old baby? I would presume that they met here and married here so I would also presumed that they have separate sponsors. Am I missing here something, Eva? Are you under father's sponsorship?

As an addition to Loulsys comment, you will have to be eligable to sponsor family class, meaning you have to be under your companies sponsorship and be earning at least QR 7,500 basic salary to do so.

If your on ur company's sponsorship, then what u need is a certfied document done at ur embassy where ur husband certfies that he gives u full guardianship of the child and an NOC from him (ur husband) then those documents are submited and u can sponsor ur child. .. it will not be hard especially that ur child is under 1 yr of age.

speaking from experience as i have a relative who has done it.

If on husband's sponsorship one can change it to the company where you are working but need NOC from Hubby.

If ur on husband's sponsorship then CASE CLOSED u have to leave Qatar with him but if ur not then I think you have to go through normal procedure for ur child. But again not sure, must get help from MINISTRY OF LABOUR.
