1st...i have a car which is 2009 model but we bought and registered it only last year APRIL with 0 mileage. my question is do i have to take the vehicle inspection prior for registration..
2nd...could i take the registration earlier than the expiration date?
Your allowed three times only from the first registration of the car/vehicle. So if your car is 2009 year model and first registered only in 2012, then you can still registered it without inspection up to April 2014. However some dealers register the cars in their company name just to show it was sold even though it's park in the warehouse. Best is check with any MOI traffic counter to verify when it was first registered, then you'll come to know exactly when you need to do vehicle inspection.
please correct me if im wrong.. coz if remy did not take the vehicle inspection in 2011 that he should be if we will based it on the model year of the car 2008..
but instead he presented this when he registered last year 2012...meaning that it will counts on what year (2009) when he registered his car. right?
1. yes... the inspection is based upon the model year of the car regardless of the year it is actually registered.
2. the registration can be done 30 days prior to the expiry date. this means that if your registration is expiring on 15 march 2013, you can go for re-registration on 15 feb 2013 but not before that..
1st. I did experience buying a 2008 model in feb 2009, then when I went to renew istimara in 2011, they just renewed it without going for technical inspection. But in 2012, I was required to go for an inspection. To make it easy, go to the traffic dept counter at city center at basement parking to inquire on more details.
2nd. If you were to register early before the expiration date, they will register it on the day itself, and not the logical way which should be the day after your expiration date, even if it's a few days earlier.

so you mean that the countdown starts from the 1st registration..disregard the model of the car..
and the traffic dept kiosk still exist in ct center? same of mall timings?
