Cheated by a self-proclaimned italian

the stories goes like this :

i have a friend, he was at a parking lot somewhere herei in doha. out of the blue, he was approached by a nicely suited guy saying that he "somehow" knew my friend from previous networking. my friend cant recalled anything about him but was entertaining him as he was appeared friendly. later, he said that he had 3 pieces of blazer+pants, and 3 ties to be given "FREE" by his fashiong-designing company. he claimed we work at the zig-zag tower.

my friend was more than happy to accept the freebies, but "watch-out!" that is not actually FREE. he later asked a helping hand from my friend saying that his daughter at italy wanted an iphone5 and it cost too expensive there at italy. he demanded qr 3000 for it, my friends refused saying that too much. my friend felt like being hypnotised and only agreed to pay qr1500 only. the gut even followed my friend to ATM machine for withdrawal. and after receving the moment, he was disappeared like being blown by recent sandstorm, without traces.

my friend just realised that what he was received actually yes an italian name (but who know, it can be made in anywhere and not necessarily having a good brand of italian quality goods). top of that, ties from brand hermes and celine were also in the freebies, well of course there are all immitation.

i would like to warn everyone, for this kind of scam. earlier, this tactic was used widely in dubai and seems they are now coming here to do this B**LS**T to out people here, what a jerk.

so lesson learnt :

i. you will not know any of italian guy (or any other countries) by chance. you should have recalled at least few moment with him/her.

ii. 3 pieces of suit + 3 pieces of tie from branded branded brand are NEVER given free. even hermes boutique is not giving it for free.

iii. just keep away by making a call or say that i need to leave now. if they insist, just shout "POLICE"

iv. share this stories with other.
