Considering Qatar, would like some information

My husband and I are considering a job (for him) in Qatar. As we consider, there are some things we need to ask:

What is the approximate cost of a 3-4 bedroom house with a garden in a good compound/neighborhood with pool and recreational facilities?

Are honest maids easy or hard to come by, and what is average wage? If someone wants to bring their maid with them, is it possible and what would it cost (for a work permit, etc.)

What is the availability and cost of the following items (estimated/relative to the west or Singapore)?
Gerber baby food
Royal Canin or Iams Cat food
Imported wine
European/US lingerie/swimsuits
Fruits and vegetables
Vitamin supplements

Also, is it difficult or costly to import a fully-vaccinated housecat?

Sorry to ask so much at once, and hope someone takes the time to help me. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration!

You have been pointed in the right direction to find the answers to your questions but I wanted to add some quick reference info on the cat.

Royal Canin will soon be available here in Doha but for now yes you can get IAMS/Eukanuba.

To find all the information you need regarding bringing the cat here with you check out www.qatarpetrelocators.com or www.qaws.org

Everything you have listed above is available, though sometimes more expensive as imported goods always are. Follow the threads on the preparations and set up forum, cost of living etc.... as Sammie said above, all of this should be covered there.
