Cost of Living in Qatar - Relocating from Kuwait 'URGENT'

Qatar MOI website states under the header "Residence Permit Point No:4",that an individual can keep a residency of any one GCC country along with Qatar RP with an additional cost.

but now the confusing part in that clause :

Is it necessary to have same sponsors in both regions (Kuwait & Qatar) to retain RP's?

Earlier i searched the threads at Qatarliving.com regarding same 'Posts', but replies over there were vague and confusing

Be friendly at work then staff will start giving you welcome dinners ........ if you are sweet natured your expenses will go down drastcally .......... you may spend weekends at your boss , colleagues , junior staff homes then open up with the neighbors & other kind fellows in your locality / market place ............ if you know the tact you can eat out for 21 days for free .......... save 75% of the food bills at begin with .............. because we come here to save & we need to remember it ....... Achabacha_ its for 2 persons and yes person can manage is lesser amount as well. Similarly , rental can be reduced to 4k is staying in Wakra Ezdan

cost of food QR 2000 per person!! This is not a correct figure. You can manage food, grocery, electricity and water bills, internet facility within QR 2000 for the two of you.

Apartment (1 bedroom furnished) = 6000

Food + grocery = 1500- 2000

Car+fuel = 1500 + 500 ( installement + Fuel etc )

others = 500-1000....

this is depend to the nature of your job first and if your wife work or no ...

but the cost for funished single room between 5000 up to 7500QR

cost for rent a car between 1500 up to 2500 QR it is depend to the quality of car

cost of the food in house approximate 2000 QR for each person

This question has been answered several times earlier also. There are some important factors that determine cost of living in Qatar. First is nationality and second is a person's lifestyle. Usually, the western expats demand a high standard of living. People from the eastern countries are totally different. Now coming to your queries. You may be able to find a single room fully furnished apartment here within QR 6000. This of course depends on the location as there are some places which is much costlier. Food,grocery, water and electricity bills, internet facility, will be around QR 1500 - QR 2000. Maintaining a car will be another QR 750 but this depends on the type and model of your car.
