Disney World
By svetlana.abou •
Dears,
I'm planning to take kids to the Disney World this summer. They are at the ages I feel most appropriate to enjoy the place.
If anyone had been there, please help.
Which hotel to choose ( suitable for an infant), what kind of tickets to buy? What are the best attractions? I'm lost.
Thanks in advance
Thanks for your comments. We are going to Orlando. Everything is ready now.
I have booked a Swan hotel and "Magic your way" tickets for a week.
Your right
I agree with bikinichick, I live 35 minutes from Disneyworld and have also been to Disneyland in Anaheim, Disney in Orlando is by far the best.
I beg to disagree. Disneyland Anaheim is nothing compared to Orlando. I guess you never been to Disneyworld.
Paris or Hongkong or whichver you choose, I would suggest you stay in their hotel inside the park.
Qatar Tours is the GSA for Disney Land. contact them
Svetlana,hello!
If you still did not decide exactly the park in the USA, then for small children is better to start with Disneypark in Paris. So many attractions for little kids! The best age for children for Disneypark in Paris is 5-8 y.o. Children under 5y.o. are still very little for such kind of amusement, children with age 5-8 will find a lot of things to enjoy. Also each quater of park has own theme shop- so prepare ur money for Princess' dresses, shoes, crowns, etc, as well as for boys' heroes. U have wish to buy many beautiful things on every step. Hotels are great- with disney characters (Pooh, Donald Duck, etc.) during breakfast time. They play with children, make photos for free. No need to stay n the main Disney hotel (close to the main entrance to the Disney park), some other nearest hotels are also v good, with shuttles every 20 mins to the park and back (only 5-7 mins to drive). I brought my son to Paris Disney park when he was 9y.o. and he enjoyed fully as was no heigh limitation (usually it's 138-140 cm). Do not try to cheat park staff with children height as later you will regret- it could be dangerous for child, his life & health as all belts consider child or adult higher than 138-140 cm if some particular attraction has such limitation. This summer we go to Orlando bcz son is 11 y.o..We want to try more than in Paris, but to START with Orlando I'd not do. Also some very good parks in Europe are Gardaland in Italy (2-3 hrs by train from Milan), Port Aventura (abt 1hr from Barcelona) and Legoland close to Munich. Great for children under 8 y.o., as well lots of fun for parents.
Let me check it out. Thanks
Guess it decided to post the link 3 times, anyway those hotels are the more upscale resorts on disney property

I was very surprised to find out that Disney hotels are just very ordinary hotels. Nothing "Disney" about them. If they look like that in the picture, I'm scared to be very disappointed when I see them in reality
Thank you all
It is the peak season for visitors. But then again, everyday seems to be peak season in Disney with the number of people there.
Don't forget your camera chargers, tripods and power plug adaptor.
Don't worry. You're kids will have a great time there. And you will be like a kid there as well.
Coronado Springs is nice for around 150-200
The animal kingdom is even nicer for about 250 - 300. I like animal kingdom lodge the best, they have rooms that overlook the Safari area.
Well, as per the hotel prices, average should be USD 200-250 per night. I don't think I will be able to go there again, so want kids to have the best memories possible.
Go to Orlando, its better im my opinion being that I've been to both. Orlando how much more to offer aside from Disney.
The magic kingdom's rides are for the most part all suitable for < 10 with the exception of a few rides, it is based on height for the most part however. On disney.com they will go through the rides and give the height requirements
If you have kids, suggest you get the multiple day passes. Some hotels offer discounted rates for passes if you stay with them.
Why multiple day? One day is not enough to go see all the attractions and with kids usually they get overwhelmed with many people on the first day and they start to enjoy only on the second day. so 3 to four days is good enough.
The usual suggestion though is to go first time to the original Disney in Anaheim after that you can go to the other Disney locations. They say there is a certain feeling that you will get when you go to the original Disneyland first. Well... they are right!
Enjoy your trip!
What do you want to spend per night for hotel?
Also the park that is most kid friendly is the Magic Kingdom, follow by Animal Kingdom and MGM Studies with Epcot being better for adults and older kids.
Thanks everyone.
I have been reading numerous number of reviews on every single hotel in the Disney World. Unfortunately, all of them have some bad comments. Not sure how much I can trust them though.
Which attraction do you find the best for kids below 10 years old? We are planning to be there for about 1 week.
I will check out the Broad walk inn again. I agree that staying in the Disney World itself is the best. I heard that queues are very long.
Thanks again
I would stay on the Disney property for the simple fact that you can use the bus system. If you plan on driving you do get free parking to the parks when you stay on Disney Property.
In Florida it means you should be staying in the I4 area or even near Kissimmee. This places should give you a 5-10 mins ride to the parks. Go to booking.com and get some ideas as to hotels, resorts and other accomodations facilities in & out of disney.
As for the tickets I would suggest to check your timmings with the timmings of the parks and try to plan a 1day per park, since they are huge and sometimes even 1 day is not enough.
There are some tickets named "value tickets" which allow you to get entry to say "3 parks in 3 days, and sometimes you get a little discount.
Since I do not know how long would be the trip I would suggest to do a little search on the internet on parks and maybe make a selection so that when you are going to get the tickets the places are already decided and no additional time is wasted on deciding "to which park should we go today" (and I had been there, it is not pleasant)
Also a travel agent could help you on the tickets for the parks since they sometimes have access to certain promotions
Hope this was helpful and do not hesitate in contacting me on PM if needed
I'm from Florida about 40 minutes away from Disney and have been there numerous times, I think the issue is your budget, all of the onsite hotels are suitable for children it just depends how much you want to spend. The allstar resorts are the budget one. If you want high end the Disney Board Walk is higher scale, but there are other hotels that are great like animal kingdom lodge. Also the tickets are expensive and they do have multiple day passes that allow you to go to multiple parks per day with a discount depending on how many days you will be there. They also have a meal plan that will save you money.
I'm sorry. Something wrong with my postings. Getting duplicated somehow.
Florida
depending on the place suggestion might come in handy.
Regards!!
