I had joined Al Rayyah driving school,as i know to drive car perfectly, i enrolled for a 12 day course and in my training time i was so confident that i know everything and also my instructor a MALLU fellow was more confident in me, he use to tell me that i am good and there should be no problem with me, but he never told me about the exact test and what happens over there.

During the training period, there are various markings fro you to judge you car. but in the main test its all open and normally the instructors give you some directions on how to follow markings there as it is not the same as in training.

And i failed the L parking which i never had problems.

Then one of my friend told me that unless we offer some bribe to the instructors they wont reveal the test secrets.

Is this Fair

Now i got a re test date after 1 and 1/2 months

I hope i dont forget the Markings.

Any one knows about the markings to follow during Tests.

Thanks for patience reading.

Bribe???? I would never do that.

You could change the instructor, and do what macgyver426 did.

p.s. I passed the test when it was much simpler (19 years ago)

I went to Al Rayyah. Didn't have to give any bribe - nor did any people who I know went there - so you're a bit unfortunate. However, I guess your overconfidence out did you in the driving test.

Best idea I can suggest is renting/borrowing a manual car (if they still test on manual) and practicing the specific tests in a car park. I don't understand what exactly you had problems in though.

You would have to find someone to guide you, as I doubt you will get crystal clear instructions on the forum.

Driving instructors are wise enough to give you all the tips to pass the test. But you really don't have to bribe them. It's your call though.

When I went to driving school last year, I promised my instructor to give him a certain amount "after" passing my exam. Make sure your instructor believe you.

I gave my instructor QR50 after my exam. He wanted more but I refused. End of the story.

Reality check dude! Would you invest on someone who's a perfect stranger? As my driving instructor would always say "I help you, you help me."

Well, tell your instructor the same thing...he helps you first then only you can help him.

Goodluck, dude!

I failed while declining as i i could not trace the stop line and so i went till the end from where i could not return or take a left turn.. I admit my mistake and i don't blame the instructor at all. He is here for money after all, by hook or by crook, i am only sad cause i have to wait for over a month for an other test....

Thanks guyz...

Driving a car...and driving it according to rules is 2 different things...

The fact is you did not know the rules of the Test....the instructor did not bother to tell you since you did not give him bribe...

You are still very vague on how you failed.....did you crash into a pillar...did your engine stop....did you use break instead of hand break....did you not stop at the stop line on the incline....was your clutch transfer not clean...?

L used to be the easiest of the lot....I think they have done away with the pocket parking.....do you still have to do the pocket parking?
