Driving License

I was holding a Qatari Driving license valid until 2012, and exited from Qatar in 2008. Now again moved to Qatar and the RP process started. My query is, whether I can renew this expired Qatar Driving license, or do I need to apply fresh and give test before getting a one now? Appreciate your valuable suggestions please, and also if it is explained with the procedure will be very much helpful. Thanks
