Can someone coming on a Family Visit Visa apply for a Driving License. Yes/No.

Please note:

1) If you renew visa month by month, you need to renew Driving license month by month and it is foolishness and waste of money. Extend the visa until its maximum duration and then pay for the Driving License Card one time.

2) Whenever this person gets a permanent visa, he need to just exchange this temporary license for the permanent valid for 5 years

3) The difference between a half course and a full course is 500 riyals. Hence go for the full course with 40 days training.

4) Half Course of 20 days for QAR 2800.. Full course is for 40 days and for QAR 3300 are the rates for driving schools other than Karwa driving school.

Yes,

someone coming on a Family Visit Visa can apply for a Driving License.

Validity of the license = until expiry of the Visa. (Hence upon passing the test, extend the visa until its maximum duration and then pay for the Driving License Card)

If they hold their home country license, they will be permitted for a Half Course of 20 days for QAR 2800.. Full course is for 40 days and for QAR 3300
