exporting my Car to Bahrain

Hi Friends, I am moving to Bahrain. My visa will be ready in a few days time. I wanted to know if I could take my car to Bahrain and get it registered there. What are the formalities. I checked wih the Wakra traffic department and they said that you don't require any specific documents from the traffic department. I am using the Metrash application on my phone and I could get a vehicle clearance certificate from MOI by paying QR10.00.

I don't want to sell my car here as I have spent good amount of money in fixing the AC, suspension, changed tyres, etc and I know that I will not get good value for here. Plus, I will have to buy a new car in Bahrain which I cannot afford at the moment.

I would appreciate any help in this regard.

Cheers,

On the other hand, I am willing to sell the car for QR37,0000. I will throw in a Garmin GPS as well. . I have spent a good deal of money in doing the complete overhaul including

1. New AC compressor

2. 5 Brand new tyres

3. New Battery

4. New Brakes.

5. New Shock absorbers

Please advise. regards

My car is a 2009 model honda civic. I just renewed my istemara last week. I met with a cargo company who said that they would do this work for QR5000.00. They said that they would take the car in a truck and would deliver it at the border where I will have to personally come and collect the car from Bahrain side of the border. I would need to have my Bahrain Visa. My only question is can I cancel my Qatar RP and drive the car to the bahrain border (I have a saudi business visa)

Why don't you go to the Bahrain embassy and find out from them? You could also try some logistics/cargo companies here and may be they can guide you.
