hi friends. i just cant fall at sleep these days. this is really driving me nuts, cus i have to be up when my lil baby wakes in the morning. the problem is,sleeping late is very unhealthy but then waking up early in the morning is also killing me, cus i am always very exhausted to wake up.

is anybody here having same problem or any advice on what to do??
please dont tell me, take sleeping pills or what so ever, iam not a fan of pills.

sleeping requires many pre-requisites:

1. Not hungry

2. Convenient temperature. Warm in Winter and Cold in SUmmer

3. Your body should be in need to some sleep. Try to exhaust yourself physically by practicing sports.

4. Your brain cells should not be busy with something that keeps ytou alert.

I believe the secret is in number (4). Try to force yourself to sleep if things are out of control like reading something boring or watch sleep while watching tv (some cannot sleep in their bedroom but find it easier to sleep in the living room while watching tv)

Finally some herbs would help like Vert Veine.

I agree with you. Should not rely on pills.

If you drink coffee at night cut it out after 5pm, and replace with hot milk or chamomile tea...

If I am in a good mood, I'd exhaust myself so it will be easier to fall asleep. I'd go to the gym or pool. Whatever kills time, or read a book until my eyes get really tired. o_O

fefee, We are in the same situation. My normal sleeping time these past few days is 2 or 3 am. Then I'd have to wake up at 5 am because its a long drive to my work place. But honestly, I don't do anything about it and I would never dare taking pills as well.

cheers,

paul
