Family visit to Qatar in Sept / Oct 2006

My name is Mick. I lived in Qatar (Umm Said & Dukhan) as a kid in the early 1960's and went to school in Umm Said. My father worked for QPC and died out there. We (the family) have never had the opportunity / money to visit before but are planning a trip to the grave this year (sometime in Sep / Oct). Are the hotels the only places to stay? or are there self-catering apartments or something for 5/6 people?

I hope this is theÂ correct way to use your forum and I would appreciate any help (or point me to web sites) that can give info.

There are furnished appartments, which can be leased on a short terms basis, a week, 15 days, a month something like that.

One of them being New Horizon, there are a few, let me see if I can get you their numbers.
