Hi to all... I am planning to bring my family on a visit and I am aware that a family visit visa can be taken for a month and if wished to extend, we need to complete our medical and the visa can be extended to an additional of five months. But I was told that Family Visit Visa re-entry ban period for 3month has been revised and we are elegible to apply the next application for Family Visit Visa within a week as per the new update... Is that true... Kindly advise... Coz I searched throughout the Web but I found no updates on the change.

Hi.. the Family Visit Visa re-entry ban period of 3 months is no longer active. The only criteria now is that you leave the country (doesnt have to be your home country) they can even fly to Dubai and come back once the visa is processed.

I'm saying this through experience as I was unsure myself. My wife and son's visit visa was expiring on the 30th of Nov (6months). I went to Gharaffa but they did not extend for another month however due to Eid they gave me another 2 weeks only. The usual trend used to be 1+5+1= 7 months in total however this has now changed.

We left the country on the 15th Oct, I came back after 2 days, and after arranging all my documents went to the immigration again, they did not ask any questions just checked to see if the documents were ok and then accepted them, I managed to bring them back on the 27th of Oct, could have brought them sooner, if not for the delay in getting all documents on time

There is no official update on any site. When i went to extend for the 7th month, they rejected, so I asked the lady at the immigration about the travel ban being removed, she confirmed this as true. My wife is pregnant and could not travel after Nov so my situation was very dire, however they are back here now. A few of my friends also did the same and have now brought their family back before 3 months.
