Fitness Classes In Doha?

DohaTransplant2007
By DohaTransplant2007

I have been here for a few months and I need to get back into the gym swing, but I love taking classes such as Spinning, Kickboxing, Weight Training and Dance based classes. I have tried some instructors at the Ritz and Intercon but I wasn't impressed at all by their teaching and way below the standards I am used to in California. Does anyone know any good instructors for spinning here or some other fun classes before I losemy motivation and turn into a fat cow in this country...? HEEEELLLLPPPPP!!! Thanks!

Ritz Shauna is ok for body pump, some other philipino guy there sucks though monotonous and off rythm. For spinning my friends and I go to Sheraton now on Friday mornings for a couple of months with this instructor named Imad he came from the US and very qualified and motivating and the hardest spinning we've ever had. But I am with you classes in Doha not so great and not much variety like back home

May i ask what is the classes like in Ritz Carlton. They used to have 2 rumanian ladies (Lumi and Simina) teaching body pump, and 1 bulgarian guy (Alex) who teaching kick boxing classes. They all were excellent and very professional. Unfortunately all of them are left because of some politic in the hotel.

Recently i heard that Ritz bring in a new instructor from Jakarta ... but i havent been to the classes ever since. Traffic putting me off because i live in the other side of Doha.

I also heard the 2 ladies who used to teach in Al Massa gym (Stacey and Shawna) now doing classes in Ritz.

Would like to know your opinion about the classse in Ritz. Thanks.

Sorry thought the classes were awful.... and the instructor was like something from a Stalinist gulag... I ran out of class!

Went twice - spent 150QR - worked out expensive for me.

But hey try it! Different folks different strokes

150QR a month for expatriates and free for Qatari's.

Check out Aspire, they have all of those classes + more. And they're really good and a membership is pretty cheap.
