A friend's story about Qatar

How do you deal with a stalker in Qatar? This is very serious.

Qatar Police = unhelpful (no offense!)
Threats = useless
Changing phone numbers = useless
Shifting house = useless
Left the country = useless
Changed vehicles = useless

This stalker is determined, and it's not about love, money, or a woman. It's a simple sick obsession for friendship because the stalker has nobody, not even his family. The person he is stalking treated him as a friend, a normal human, and the stalker became "addicted" and obsessed with this friendship that he's stalking the guy day and night. It's scary.

The stalker is 30, married, with a child.

This is related to a friend of mine, and I want to know how to help him...because I'm worried. appreciate any advice you can give.

Well, even i think that to contact QATAR POLICE would be the best option to save your BUDDY from his stalker...

Don't get so downhearted...

It is clear that the stalker is out to "befriend" your buddy and won't take no for an answer. Perhaps, your friend has been sending the wrong signals or hasn't stood up to him.

I would suggest that perhaps the police is not the answer, because they may not understand the situation. (Different culture).

Maybe you should get some mutual friend to step in and have a quiet word with the guy..

Appreciate your replies - just to clarify:

-no he wasnt followed to another country

-no the guy isn't gay (neither of them)

-both are European

Anyway it doesn't matter...I wish i never brought up this subject....

thanks for the comments.

And is the stalker Qatari? Because I don't understand what is the problem with going to the police....

Tell your friend to get a back bone and deal with the stalker face to face instead of acting like a little girl.

I don't like to burst your bubble but in here, some men take pride in doing other boys ( not always considered gay.. as i have been told )

It's like the jail survival mode for some.. and some soap could be dropped at times

why do you find the police unhelpful? i've been in situations as bad as that and they've helped me just fine.

By anonymous• 18 Aug 2010 00:24

Qatar police.. Take an Arabic speaking guy along to better explain the gravity of the situation. It's a small country, not easy to hide from someone determined to find you.
