Hamad hospital

Hi

Another thing I do also need to know about is medical care.

I have been told that Hamad hospital is the best place to go to. Is this true? apparently you only have to pay a QR100 and you can have a card with which you can then get as much medical care as you need.

Is this true or have I misunderstood?

Please any doctors that work there I would love to hear from you.

For Medical Card yes its correct, and you will have your succeeding visits for free but for all general consultations or check-up only.

If your going to visit per specialties such as ophthalmology, neurology, gynecology etc ... you have to pay minimum 100 riyal per visit/each visit.

well all govt hospitals are under Hammad Hospital and yes u r rite that u need to pay 100 riyals to get medical card and aftr that all ur treatment will be free not only in Hammad Hospital but also in all govt Hospitals.. but i think (if some need to have surgery he/she need to pay extra for that) and also if some is admitt in the hospital they will charge 100 QR / nite... but still far far cheaper thn of private hospitals.. and u can also ask your company whether they provide u health insurance or not...?

and for card u need to provide some documents also (u can ask in hammad Hospital)..

but i feel bit nervous to visit Hamad Hospital coz mostly of there staff dont knw English so 1 need to be patience whos arabic is not up to the standard...

if you dont do the medical card then you pay 30/-QR for each time you visit hamad hospital or any other clinic related to it.... if you do the medical test which yes it cost 100/-QR then you can always go for free.... hamad hospital is a good hospital wait for another experience and suggestions..
