Hello Every one !! :) :)

I hope that all of you are doing great here !!

I m joining Sidra on May End INSHALLAH. I am just wondring that what are fooding option available for north Indian food. From my Expereince of having food outside in Hotel regularly in India, I am completly screwed up and even faces some stomach trouble too. It seems some tiffin services are available too but howz food in terms of cleaniness and stomach friendly ? Can I get some cook for preparing evening food at home ? If yes then how much will it charge !! Howz food at Hotels itself erms of cleaniness and stomach friendly ?

I know my question are pretty odd but trust me as I faced problem cause of having food outside so I am but skeptical about foods and specially cleanliness .
Thanks in advance !! :) :)

Galinda, Yes , Newcomers has to take some drastic measures just to settle down ...

If one can have the tact to have dinner for three days straight at the acquaints' homes it 's easy to stretch it to 30 days .... How others do it ?

Galinda: Yes Agreed . Its in most of world population. But some conditions ( Not much known) but mostly related to disturbed acidic content in stomach which can be caused by foods cause a HelioBacter to act wrongly at stomach wall.

Galinda

How do you know that you got heliobacter from eating outside? Most people in the world have it, it's very common.

It takes just 45 minutes max. to cook a full spread of Dal, Rice, Sabzi, raita / salad...rotis you can buy ready made from any of the super markets...they come in various types. And when I sit to eat, the taste takes away the tiredness...:)

As far as I know, there are no organized tiffin services in Qatar as you find in Delhi/Bombay. Even if you find one, you'll have to compromise with your taste buds to the point of hating the food. That's the price one pays for coming to Qatar from north India as a bachelor. I suggest you brush up your culinary skills a bit before boarding the flight if you are concerned. Welcome to Qatar.

You can have cook, who can come to your home evening and he can also clean your house, He may charge you QR-400-500 not more than that. The availibility of cook is also depends on location of your accommodation.

How much cook will charge ? Any approximation ? I heard that Arabic foods are high on spice and cholestrol !! Is that right ? Yaar If nothing work then will cook only but that's too time taking and tiresome too !!

I would agree to barbie...if ur staying in group...appoint a cook for ur house and pay him good...in the end u get good food :)

North Indian food...not available.

Hiring a cook...if you are single and want someone to cook only in the evening, the cook will charge you more than the cost of food for the month...:)

Tiffin Services...heard of one but wouldnt recommend to use as food quality wasnt good, as told be the people who used it.

So you are left with self cooking. Cook in the night, eat, save in fridge for next day and warm and eat...:) Or shift to Arabic food....I was exactly in your position, hired a cook for a while but couldnt handle his tantrums and so moved to Arabic food and now dont have much problems as before cos of outside/ hotel food.

Cook at home or have some one come and cook at your place.... Here hotel food is very bad as they use cheap oil.
