hospital care, S.V.T's
Hi, Im moving over from the U.K in the summer and something has been worrying me. I suffer from S.V.T's in the U.K and when it happens, which is once every 4 years or so I always go straight to accident and Emergency where they inject me with adenosine and hey presto I am fine. Can anyone tell me which hospital they could recommend (just on the off chance I should need it).
Thanks everyone.
Yes, you don't want to be negotiating the health care location and intricacies in the middle of some random night! Find a cardiologist and discuss with him/her as soon as you get here.

Thank you both so much for replying. I think I will take your advice and visit upon arrival, at least I will know their exact location should I happen to need them. Many thanks
You can go to Doha Clinic or Al Ahli Hospital. Both have cardiac facilities
Hamad and Al Ahli hospitals would be able to take care of you. The problem with Hamad would be getting through the large throngs of people in the ED, it is a very popular place. If you were to go in an ambulance you'd probably get triaged and attended to faster. Al Ahli is the main private hospital here and I think they have cardiac clinics but not sure what the situation would be after hours. Your best bet would be to visit Al Ahli when you arrive in the country, consult the cardiology department and ask the best way to manage the problem before you actually have an episode. Either way, be sure to bring a cardiology consult report from your home specialist outlining how your SVT has been managed in the past. All the best!
