How safe is our conversations thru telephones? Does Q-tel keep or reveal to anyone powerful...

How safe is our conversation,,,every person have the rights of privacy, but seems that if someone who is a "WHO" just can't do nothing but give all the datails and let them use in their personal inte
I'm sure if somebody knows somebody who works for QTel, they can get any info they wanted.
QTel does follow calls and messages. They have a list of forbidden words used in SMS in several languages. Had a friend at QTel a while ago, that's how I know...
Hey binladen, you are just Qtel away to be catched...stop there will you?
This person just know all my family numbers mobile phones,,and anyone connected to us...hey were not Israelis or terrorist to be monitored huh! We're just plain people and i can't tell more why they just wanted to know my whole background...
despite blocking me
i need to tell you that i am really scared and shaking\
thanks for warning me
I said personal interest because they know where you are going, and to whom you are talking,,,sort of they want to know your background not for CID purpose but personal...hope you know what i am talking about personal...
maxboy, sorry but I believe the reality is a bit different.
However, generally, if one has nothing to hide, one has nothing to fear. In general, I think this is a good thing, notwithstanding arguments from the human rights to privacy perspective. There are wider considerations and I think it is acceptable.
Agree with the others in that Qtel will protect its customers' privacy to a certain extent - as in they won't simply release info to all and sundry but to those who have the necessary authority. Things are obviously not perfect and could be much much better.
This should also serve as a warning to those who think that just because there is no reaction by the authorities, that they are getting away with whatever. I agree that a lot of people do get away with their nonsense because of the sheer numbers and the problem is in the implementation and monitoring.
Another argument to criticize that this is an open prison? It's a matter of one's perspectives. If negative, things just go into a downward spiral. If positive, one will find a way out or around problems.
hmmm....in countries like Canada, America, etc. they try to monitor all phone calls, emails, traveling a person does so I would not be suprised if Qatar follows suit. ;)
i think its safe, and Qtel is protecting its customers
they might give our numbers just to governmental issues or things which concern all the citizens of Qatar
it is safe.... an organization like Qtel must take care of its customers privacy. i dont think anyone can get some information influencialy....
The only reason i see, Qtel providing any information would be to goverment entities like CID, police etc... if required.
I doubt. 'calls forwarding on conditional' message comes on your mobile screen for all calls.
