Yes, it is possible. You can take your car to India on 'CARNET' which is a new procedure but you'll have to ship it back. Other than the shipping charges, you only have to pay a certain amount to CARNET. Search this forum for more info or google:

Nowadays a lot of people are doin this.

By the way there is 225% or 250% duty, one of the two don't remember now, on importing cars in India. You have to send the car to Sri Lanka first where they convert from left hand to Right hand side drive then get it in India. Before coming back send it to Sri Lanka again, get it re-converted and then get it into Qatar again. Simple enough??

Hey pepsi seller, what a silly question pal, it is easy, carry it in your pocket if you can, or if it is bigger you may carry it in your baggage but don't think of taking it in your hand- baggage as it will be thrown out into garbage bin at the immigration check.

during my last vacation I carried my gun in my key chain and they wouldn't listen to any explanations they just threw it in the bin.

LOL

Don't even think about this. Go and buy a new Indian car there, would be still cheaper.

Left hand drives are not allowed anymore in India, if you pay your way through and do get permission by bribing, you will pay through your nose.
