IPad charging problem
By Rolling Stone •
Has anyone had problems with power charging their IPad's via the mains power adapter supplied by Apple?
I've got an iPad 2 that is about a year old and despite trying multiple Apple USB power chargers & cables I'm unable to charge it from mains power. It does appear to charge (very slowly) via a USB connection to a Macbook.
Have seen quite a few comments about this on the Apple Support site and tried most of the fixes suggested with no success.
So better take it to technician or if it is under warranty- service center.
I tried leaving it to charge for the last 6 hrs and it does appear there is some charging going on.
Started at 6% and now at 17%. Other people on Apple Support have reported the same thing - not really a solution.
Even if the charging ICON does not come, it will be charging. Leave it for one hour and see.
Was surprised to see how many other people reported similar problems in Apple Support Community (see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2438359?start=15&tstart=0).
The article by Orukxu on March 17th 2011 might be of interest to users in this part of the world where major changes in temperature & humidity are the norm.
Its not a problem with the USB chargers which have local 3-pin plugs.
We are using another iPad and two iPhones and they all charge ok using these units.
No don't hv any problems, maybe you should try to use universal adapter and then plug to socket.
