Islamic revolution or Shia revolution?

Typically the Iranian revolution has been called "Islamic revoultion" and Ahmedi Nejad had been touted as a brave "Muslim leader" for his belligerent stances to the U.S and the West. But considering the continuing support extended by Iran to the murderous Assad regime for nothing other than Assad's nominal affiliation to Shia-ism should we revise our opinion about Iran revolution and Ahmedi Nejad both as just Shia?
its been quite some time by now that this idea has struck you....strange??? aint???go ahead for shah's regime before Islamic Revolution which was just a puppet extenstion of the West's vested interests.... very nice of us as muslims...we have something such as shia, sunni bla bla to label whatever we do...good or bad....
The answer is No. It was islamic and it was against west as well. And yr clues about iran aiding murderous rejimes are just clues... Iran hasn't killed anyone - West has.
