If you are planning to live with 2 other roommates and have no car or a garbage can car that will give you a hell of a time then you are welcomed in Qatar with this salary. By the way you have to consider that you will not get any salary raise for at least 3 to 4 years while prices is rising on regular basis

Kiwi, yes the savings almost 3x what I make now.

I'm going to read the labor law to understand more.

kiwi... you know Qatar... all the rules are only on paper... I know a big construction company, they will provide ticket - but the employee will buy it first. when the employee returned, they will reimburse it, in their own time.... and it's not a small company huh!

I agree. It depends what you are making now and your expectations for standard of living, that's what really counts. To some people 10,000 is a fortune, to others a pittance. If you are able to save 3 x what you can currently save, then it will probably be worthwhile. Just remember that rent is expensive, electricity, food, furniture, internet, car etc. all add up. I am sure that QLers will correct me if I am wrong, but isn't it illegal for employers not to provide a return ticket to an employee's home country every year? Good luck to you.

it's not good. Everything in Qatar is very expensive... and your company should at least give you a round trip ticket yearly...
