Here's the situation:

I am currently employed for a month with this company. However, it seems that this company is not good for me and I decided that I want to change or just move out of the country. I am not under the work visa of this company but from a previous company I worked for. With the new company (the one I am currently employed), I only signed an offer letter.

Question:

 Can I legally exit, change job or resign from this current company without facing any ban for re-entry to Qatar? I signed an offer letter saying I will be on contract for 2 years and I am not on their work visa since they are still working on it. Is this offer letter considered as my permanent contract with them?

@acchabaccha

Thank you. I am making sure that I will not be getting any legal notice from the company if I resign. I will make sure to get my salary first before doing so. :)

A follow-up question if you don't mind.

Question:

Is it possible for my wife to be my sponsor instead of the company? Not as a visit visa but like permanent. As what I have learned, husbands can place their wife on their sponsor without fear that their visa will expire. As long as the husband works here, they will also remain here. Will this apply with the wife as sponsor?

To my knowledge, an "offer letter" has not much meaning in the legal sense. It is only the Contract usually written in both Arabic and English and which has a the seal of the Labor Office that is recognized and becomes binding on both parties. Since you are not on their work visa, the Contract you have signed has no value or worth and will not recognized by the Labor Office or the court. In the current situation, I believe you can resign from your job and leave this company with no fear whatsoever. Make sure you resign after you have collected your salary as the company may just hold back your payment.
