Description:

guys, if you are looking for a 1 bed flat, please avoid La villa real estate, they have a building of 74 flats in umm ghalina near MP traders, I signed a contract of 1 year and it's an absolute robbery for 8,000 QAR, I am trying to cancel this contract that I signed 3 months ago, it's seemed to be like a good flat back then, don't fall for the same mistake though. I can tell you that it's really expensive for that price and the location is very noisy, a lot of vans and workers around. The furniture is cheap, sofa is very uncomfortable, kitchen is really small with a small electric cooker, bed is really hard, bathroom was leaking, new fridge wasn't working, gym equipment is faulty and dangerous to use, dirty swimming pool, small car park not enough space for cars of residents, very noisy at night as the generators on the roof are not monitored or maintained, the agency is not helpful at all, they never listen and they are egyptians, the guy is called mahmoud and the owner is called hassan! if you have any advice on how to cancel a contract please let me know. THIS BUILDING IS TO BE AVOIDED BIG TIME

They are very lazy in maintenance and paperwork.

after 3 visits and more than 10 calls, I got the papers to attest my contract (a month late), and when I complained to the HR manager, she said it is my fault, because I had to call more & push more, because her staff doesn't work except they are pushed to work, she was very proud of her staff to have this mentality...

but to be frank, the manager of maintenance was a good guy, very welcoming and he gave me his number if the maintenance staff was late or lazy

I don't recommend you guys to go there.

We were given: Two hands to hold. To legs to walk. Two eyes to see. Two ears to listen. But why only one heart? Because the other was given to someone else. For us to find.

I Think mahmoud is fired from la villa ...for maintenance

he was putting his family members ... i am living one of their building in Al Sadd i was on trouble before in that building but now i found that they cancel the guys and put new people... now maintenance is good and GM approachable guy....not like Mahmoud............

there was a clause in my contract, and guess what it says that i can not cancel my contract unless i pay the rest of it all. I had a broker who helped to get a flat when i came here first, I was stupid i should have negotiated and read my contract from a to Z. I made a mistake and tried to speak with the GM, he avoided me so many times, i wanted to exchange this small 1 bed flat for a 2 bed in other buildings, they have other buildings but they're heartless.

The other day, the poor security guard in our building was crying, why, the poor guy couldn't get his passport because he went to go to visit his family in sri lanka, la villa real estate did not pay his work visa fees, the government fined them, now the management of la villa real estate asked the security man to pay their fine, otherwise he won't get his passport, the fine was over 4000 rials, he gets 800 rials a month, how can you deal with such a bogus company.

For all new comers, please make sure you don't commit the same mistake, read your contract, make sure you a good deal, this la villa real estate should be reported.

I tried to contact gulf times and other newspapers here in Qatar, their reply was, they have hundred of complaints from other tenants, they can't do much...

when we get blind and only see the outer side of an image and not looking deep inside the real beauty of inner image..when signing a contract you have all the rights to take the time and read thoroghly the clause esp when it comes to cancellation.but a side from that before you have signed check everything around you, lies captures people's heart easily but always think twice..has ur contract ended?if it will soon then don't stay find a good decent apartment even with high price but which has good quality ..and triple check with everything ray of sunshine ..good luck

if u r real;y serious abt cancelling the contract then just go through the contract there will be some clause mentioned abt cancelling the contract

otherwise there are other reasons which u can make it to municipality and cancel the contract before maturity like if the building does nt have fire fighting and fire alarm system working then u can easily cancel u r contract and also as u told toilet is leaking this also can be one of the reason to terminate contract.

but dont regret for what u r paying u were aware of the rent before u signed. so best of luck for cancelling the contract

didn't you notice all that when you first went to look?
