I am new to Qatar. Require advice on transfer of money to India.
1. Which money excahnges/banks offer on line transfer of money to India to new generation banks like HDFC/ICICI?
2.Do they accepet Bank ATM card for transfer of money or u have to carry cash?
3. Which money exchanges offer good rates to India? Are there any banks which offer competetive rates compared to exchanges? can i have their telephone nos and locations. Are they located centrally with place for parking etc...

I am yet to be accustomed to the locale :) If u could please give detailed location with land marks.. it will be very helpful....

Thanks in advance

Hey there buddy,]

As another user mentioned, Commercial bank allows to transfer funds online to ICICI, yes you do need an account with them, its internet banking chief...

Doha bank - transfers - AXIS Bank (UTI)...

Exchanges rates are standard rates as published by the stock exchange...nothin too complicated about that/...

Cheers...and by the way...welcome to Qatar...

With a commercial Bank account, you can directly transfer money to your icici account in india... no waiting in long queues...

I meant that only no plastic cards in whatever form are accepting them... yes allmost all other establishments accept them like shops, supermarkets malls etc but not exchange houses.

Exchange house only wants cash be it $, euro, QR or any other country cash

Hi buddy!! thanx for the prompt reply. But your answer surprised me. When i meant card, I meant the Bank debit card. Dont merchant establishmnets etc accept cards....NOT CREDIT card. Debit card is equivalnet to cash and many places around the word, prefered better than cash..u r telling in qatar it is not so..
