me and my wife went to a pet store downtown and saw a small kitten that seems to have been left out of sight to die, it seems it has an eye infection and looks malnourished, we are going to buy her but want to get her checkd out as we have two healthy cats at home now and don't want to compromise their health.
any advice would be great as we don't want wait to long for her sake being in that awful place.
and for anyone who is going to post any non helpful info like help a human instead or why waste your time on a stupid animal, please kep you comments to yourself that is not the advice i seek

You can find the info you are looking for on the links page on www.qatarpets.org
The kitten sounds like it has an upper respiratory infection, which is highly contagious to cats, but does not transmit to humans or dogs, so have it checked right away by the vet, and wash your hands after handling it, so that you don't risk passing it to your cats. I'm not an expert but if your cats are vaccinated I don't think there is a big risk. Not sure though, so ask the vet.
They will probably give you some antibiotics, and eye drops or gel for it's eyes. When it's cleared up, send us an e-mail with a cute picture, and I'll post it up for adoption if you like.

What you want to do is most honorable and I adore animals...but please, refrain from buying animals from pet stores. That just propagates more abuse of other animals when they know they can treat animals like that and still get money for them. As you probably know, many diseases that strike cats are extremely transmittable. But...if you still feel you want to do this, do please talk to QAWS...contact poppy or moonbeam. Good luck and bless you..and the kitten.
