NEED YOUR KIND ADVICE :)
Hi all. :)
I have been working in doha for almost 2 years now, and have been earning a salary of 5500. I am currently working as an admin assistant. Right now im considering to move back to my country and get a good qualification by doing some higher studies and then come back to doha. I am planning to bring my family to doha in the future, and i believe the current salary that im getting is not enough to support a family..im soo confused in what i should do...should i leave doha and do my higher studies and then come back to doha? ORRRRR Should i just stay here and delpend on the yearly increments and other bonuses...your kind reply will be much Appreciated :)
If living with the family is only your target then it's easier to do it in your home place ..... Don't mix your professional desires with staying with your family ........ Sacrifice something for the other is the only way out .................. ............ .............. ............ Tue, 11.11.2014, 09.37 hrs
In my opinion, it depends on your age, if you are young then it's better to continue your studies, otherwise it's gonna be risky for you
It all depends on your financial situation. If you are confident that you can support your family while pursuing higher education, then you could get go ahead. I had the same desire several years back but the responsibilities of the family simply did not allow me to do so. Also, there are several other factors you must keep in mind. Just by getting additional qualification does not guarantee you a job in Qatar. You may not be able to get back the opportunity of working here again. Furthermore, what surety is there that you will be able get the salary level required to bring in your family here after you have received the additional qualification you are aiming at. The job market in Qatar is tight, and competition severe. However, if you are confident you will be able to stage a return, then by all means do go ahead and achieve your dreams. I suggest you consider all aspects before you make your next move, as you are the best judge of yourself.
I think first thing you want to consider is what do you want to be or what kind of job you want to obtain, then go for the higher studies for the role you want to take on. Doesn't mean you just take any higher study courses and you get better job or salary. You need to focus and target for the position you want to do and find out what you need to obtain that role... watch the movie Pursuit of Happiness, this should give you an idea of what the main character in the movie did to achieve what he wanted in his life and for his family.
