Qatar Airways - Baggage

One more query on QA Baggage.
My husband has got the so-called "FREE TICKET" thru the QMiles. Is there any strict limit on baggage ? They informed us 20 kg is the maximum for this "FREE TICKET"
We have still balance Q-Miles. Can this miles be converted to extra baggage ? Please advise.
If you are Burgundy, sliver or gold member you get an extra llowance.
Why not look on the Privalege Club website, it's all written there for you!
thanks hotandsticky ...
i really wanted to know about this. Yes, I am a Privilege Club member, we got the "FREE TICKET" thru this Prillege club memebrship and QMiles. But the counterstaff told me , though I am a privlege member, I am not able to take more than 20 kg.
Can I redeem some of my excess QMiles and get more baggage ? This is my question ...
when checked with some freinds, everytime I get different answers
can someone guide me?
Same rules apply as if you were holding a paid ticket respective of class of travel. All economy is 20 kg unless you are flying to USA where it is 2 bags each no more than 32 kgs. If you are a member of Privilege Club you get another 10 or 15 kgs per person. it is wise to join Privilege Club for this purpose because QA is very stingy on the weight allowance. CALL QA first to confirm
your level of Privilege Club additional allowance. Dont leave anything to chance with QA. The airport agents are trained to be real bastards even over 1 or 2 kilos. This is the big racket QA plays with its passengers, excess baggage. Most people dont take the time to weigh their bags only to get SCREWED by QA at the airport in excess baggage charges. Take excess baggage at the UK for instance. QA charges 25 POUND PER KILO excess. Yes thats right, 25 POUND PER KILO OVER!!. This price is nothing less than unscrupulous extortion and QA taking advantage of unknowing passengers. I dont think CEO Al Baker would pay something so extortionate so neither should anyone else. PLAN AND WEIGH YOUR BAGS BEFORE YOU GO TO THE AIRPORT ! ! !
