A Query for Healthcare professional, please
By the-birdie •
May be the query is from a layman's point of view. kindly bear with me.
We all know the average blood pressure of human being is 120/80. There can be high BP patients with 140/95. Also low BP patients with 110/70.
My query is both values of BP reduce / increase progressively ? Means can there be a patient with reading 130/70 ?..... or 110/95 ?... Is it possible ?
The first number is your systolic blood pressure. It is the highest level your blood pressure reaches when your heart beats.
The second number is your diastolic blood pressure. It is the lowest level your blood pressure reaches as your heart relaxes between beats.
As you can see the numbers are not tied together.
Their changes can vary widely.

that systolic & diastolic readings need not be increased / reduced together . It may move two opposit directions also.
thanks
It changes all the time... depending on many factors.
It is possible. In fact, it isn't rare.
