Last June 18, 2013 .My son resigned from his job due to my present medical situation. His visa still not transfered to Company and he is still in his Father sponsor. His document was submitted to his Company HR department for the purpose of processing the visa Transfer. However, before his probationary period last my son already submitted his resignation. I am due for operation and my son was a donor for my bone marrow transplant that I need to undergo as soon as possible but HR Manager from my sons Company was rude and indiffirent to approached he is holding to release all my son documents including the Original Diploma, Passports and NBI Clearance. My Son tried to talk to his HR Manager peacefully but he did not entertain and telling my son that his visa was already transfered to Company. How could it be because there were no procedure has been done like Finger Print, Medical and he has not even signed a working contract from this Company. They are just fulling my son. I try to talk to this HR Manager but he is rude and to won't listen to my appeal. My medication is delaying due to this problem and Iam becoming ill everyday because I cannot leave without my son he is the hope that I have to be a donor and to live more time in this world and now we are facing a very difficult situation . Can anyone help us. give us an advise who is the right authority to approach who can help us in this situation. Please advised.

Why are you wasting time then. Don't bother with talking to the HR mgr. He had his chance to do the right thing and he's shown his lack of empathy towards your situation. Report him directly to the labor board and have them force him to return your sons documents.

Guys I am Not a qatari National,But i stay in Qatar for 29 yrs. Since 1984. I raised my Family here and my kids grow up in Doha.We are an American Citizen but Filipino by roots and due to my husband work we stay here Qatar.I know the Culture here. But the HR Manager of my son's office is from other Arab countries. Not from Qatar. Maybe if he is Local Qatari he will understand the situation and not too greedy and difficult to talk with.

Your Profile says that your Nationality is Qatar, therefore you are a Qatari and you are having this kind of problem?

Guys, All my medical documents was already submitted to my Son HR Department attaching in his resignation letter the record and diagnosis from Al-Ahli Hospital and the referal from my doctors, and certificates were all in my son resignation paper all the proof is there. What else should i have to submit to make HR Manager understand the urgentcy of my conditions. And the latest update by son he is threating them to cancelled his visa. This so inhuman.I am getting feeling so bad and strees thinking of the situation. Shall i go with my son in the Labour Department? or shall I go to my son office and personally talk to GM of the Company? Advise this are my option.

You have 3 options...

1. Talk directly to the CEO of the company. Show any proof/document that you will undergo for transplant.

2. Call police.

3. Go to labor department.

That is really strange. A visa will be transferred first temporarily considering the probationary period which is normally 3 months and only after that period the visa will be transferred permanently. Let your son talk to the GM of the Company and if it doesn't work let him approach the Labor Department.

he is obliged to give back all the documents, if not file a complain at the labor ministry:

Article 53

The employer shall upon expiry of the service contract:

1. ...

2. Return to the worker the certificates, documents etc. which the worker deposited with the employer.

I will pray for you and I hope the HR Manager will have an open mind for this situation. Just report the HR Manager to the his/her boss. Then if no action taken report it to the authorities like owwa. :)
