Is their any kindly Indian lady who can give a good recipe for rosgulla. I am a big fan of rosgulla & my wife has tried all the possible recipes on internet which failed.
So somebody with personal expertise in making rosgulla maybe of help. Some practical tips please, thanks.
sun, happygolucky has explained the difference between Rasmalai and Roshogulla... sun, believe me Rasmalai is more tasty than Roshogulla :) and the recipe which I shared, the easiest & the simplest one ...try it :)
sun & RizksI call it Rus Malai (not Rus Gulla) Here’s my own...For goliyan Powder Milk preferably Nido: 1 Cup Flour No.1 (Maida): 1.5 (derh) Tea spoon Baking powder: 0.75 (pon) Tea spoon Egg: 1 Mix all well and make dough, then form 18-20 small balls For sheera Powder Milk: 1 Cup Cardamom 8-10 Sugar: 1 Cup To prepare sheera dissolve powder milk in 4 cups of water, mix 1 Cup of sugar, all cardamoms and boil...transfer all balls of ras malai into the boiling milk for 5-8 minutes and turn off the burner. After half an hour place it in the refrigerator...garnish with sliced pistachios and serve it chilled...If you have any questions, you're welcome :)
Ingredients: • 1/2 Litre milk • 3 tbsp Lemon juice • 2 tsp All Purpose Flour • 1/4 tsp Rose essence or cardamom powder • 1 Cup Water • 1 Cup Sugar How to make Rasgulla: • Take a pan and heat milk in it. Bring it to a boil. • Add lemon juice, stirring slowly and gently till cheese separates from the milk. • Now turn off the heat and strain it through a strainer. • Make sure all the water from the cheese is drained. • Now knead it to make soft dough. • Combine flour with it and knead again. • Make small rounded balls from the dough, keep aside. • The balls should not have any cracks in it. • Now combine sugar and water in a saucepan and boil it. • Add cheese balls to the syrup and cook it for about 30 minutes with lid partially covered. • Add rose essence or cardamom powder and turn the heat off. • Allow to cool and serve .
If we can add a small sugar Cube ( Nakul dana) into the dough centre , size will be biger slightly also after boiling sugar syrup it will melt creat a hole .
