Thanks. I got attestation today!! They charged me 1300 Riyal including fine.
Thank you so much Mr. Navas. @WT, you are right but I was helpless. It was an immediate requirement and I was behind them for 2 weeks to get even those documents. Too sad :(
I know, brit. But as long as people do the 'convenient' things laws will never mean anything in Qatar.
WT: It seems that most owners absolve themselves of this reponsibility and make the tenant pay, since they know that he/she is caught between a rock and a hard place. No choice if they want to apply for a visa etc.
Why are you doing this? It's the owner who rents the object to you who has to do the attestation at HIS cost. You aren't getting any rent, are you? So, how can you pay 1% of the annual rent if you don't get any rent?
