Scar on face by wrong laser treatment

A local beauty outlet offering laser hair removal burned an underlip sessions quite severely but kept on assuring me that there won't be a scar and in a couple of months the scar will go away. However, it is almost an year and the scar seems permanent uner my lip. The clinic said that these things happen and that I should have been aware of such risks. Please help what I can do here, any legal place where I can go to lodge a complain and seek some legal advice? - Please help as I am so depressed with this matter. Thank you.

First you approach Consumer Protection Department (which is under Ministry of Economic & Commerce). They are very active.
If you fail to get any compensation CPD then approach a lawyer as lawyers in Qatar are very expensive but CPD is free.

Thanks guys. I actually was aware of the minor risks but not to leaving permanent scar on my face. According to the clinic itself (which is quite reputable) they said they did not know that the laser energy they used was too high for my skin. It was actually a severe deep wound which then converted to a permanent scar. I did sign the disclaimer form but does this mean I cannot take any legal course even it is the clinic's fault they did train their staff well enough with such procedures?
Sorry to hear that. As britexpat suggested you might have signed some disclaimer before they undertake such procedures. You should have checked in the internet about the risks of such procedures and the experience of the people who did this, and the reputation of the firm. Also better do such procedures only in your home country where you can be more sure about such things.
First check whether yo have signed a disclaimer form - this is usually given to the patient to sign which absolves the clinic of any mistakes.
The option os to go to consumer protection and talk to them or if you feel strongly, then talk to a local lawyer..
