Schools admission to 1std - Indian syllabus
I am new to Doha and working in Al Sadd area. I am planning to bring my family soon and look forward to get my child admitted to a good CBSE syllabus school. My preference is for schools in the surrounding area so that my child wont have to start too early for the school. However, I am slightly flexible as I am yet to find a family housing and prefer to stay in a place which will allow us a reasonable distance from my office and his school. Considering the peak hour traffic I am not very keen to live too far from the office too.
Can someone suggest the school names not too far from Al Sadd, where I can seek admission?
Thank you in advance
Thank you all for the comments, I checked with MES but it's impossible to get admission there as they were ordered to reduce the strength by the authorities. Now I am exploring the other options, I really don't want my child to suffer like qluser999 said.
Yes that's true .
Hopefully..Inshallah,
i heard Supreme education council strictly ordered each standard shouldn't allow more than 30 seats.
that is the main problem to get admission in schools.
before it was 50 or 60 something..
I'm not am Indian but I got admission in 2003,a time when they used to take non Indians as well. From the past few years they stopped taking non Indian students due to the huge number of students in the school. If you are am Indian ,then there is no reason to hesitate .In sha Allah your child will get admission. You can try for this year .The academic year starts from April.
yes, MES is very good school..
the problem is admission..
getting admission is very difficult
Also MES is one of the best Indian Schools in Qatar. I'm currently studying in MES.
M.E.S Indian School, reputed and very competitive. It is located in new abuhamour. I don't think it is very far from Al sadd . There are many other Indian schools like Ideal Indian school , DPS, DMIS, Birla Public School.
shantiniketan school, birla public....
but the problem is getting admission is very difficult in schools..
my brother in law...running..running 3 4 months now..not yet got.
For some reason we have all reputed indian schools in Old Airport and Wakrah localities only Asif. Even am concerned with this "one location - One community" style of living in Qatar where we have all the asian expats living in Old airport area. Why dont we have all the Indian schools scattered across Doha. Am currently staying in Al Rayyan Al Ateek and my cousins start to school at 5:30 AM in the morning to reach Wakrah for the school which starts at 7:00AM. The reason I chose Al Rayyan is to avoid the un-avoidable traffic chaos at Corniche road in the mornings and evenings.
