Hi,
Been here in Qatar for more than 2 years. So, just had a mentality moving to AD or Dubai. So, anyone knew any networking sites like QL, so that I can interact, know more about life over there, laws and obviously job opportunities.
Thanks in advance.
There are more job opportunities in Dubai & Abu Dhabi than Qatar -however, payscale is slightly lower, and also, it will depend on your luck or if you're really meant to be there I guess.
Socializing in UAE and meeting new people is so much easier - and that's because it's a more open country. I've lived there for a good period of time, and it's been so far, the best I've lived in, equal balance of work & play - I had a good salary when I was in Qatar, but no life, so I ended up leaving.
You can easily find job opportunities in newspaper ads - or websites like, Bayt, Gulftalent, BACME etc.
With so many things to do over there though, might be more difficult to set aside money. If your goal is to save, you might as well stay in Qatar.
Qatar's winter months are brimming with unmissable experiences, from the AFC Asian Cup 2023 to the World Aquatics Championships Doha 2024 and a variety of outdoor adventures and cultural delights.
