Can anyone tell me which companies, here in Qatar, have got excellent HR Department that understands the importance of good communication between them and job applicants? I found a few great and rich organisations but with appalling HR people. The websites of some of them are a pain in the 'exhaust pipe'.

It is very frustrating not knowing that you have not been selected for a job. This does not help planning ones next moves. And valuable time is wasted.

Thank you all for your advice.

HR is pretty bad in most countries - no matter what spin they put on things or what fancy language they use.

However, in the Middle East - it is worse than bad. They all talk the talk, but that's about it!

I agree with the above comments specially that of WK. But as the OP, I would like to know if you guys know of such companies, if they ever exist.

There is no HR department here, just a department to process Visas that they call HR.

I don't think there is any "excellent" HR departments here! they always lack communication! they are overpaid personnel that do NOTHING for employees... but do everything for the employer.. they never reply to emails.. never acknowledge you.. and treat you as if you're the most valueable asset before you're hired.. and as if you're invisible one you're employed!
