Think twice while leaving your car for washin
Hi all. I want to share an incident with you maybe it will help you to prevent such problems for you in the future.
It happened around 3 weeks ago. I left my Durango for full wash to Teyseer Company near Airport. When I take it afternoon I realized that the 4 wheel drive indicator light was blinking. I thought maybe it was a small malfunction but the day after while driving to my work in the morning I realized that 4 wheel drive was trying to be activated without anything done by my side and the 4 wheel drive indicator was still blinking. So I took the car to the service the day after because I had work to be done that day. After waiting around 12-13 days (I have mentioned my complaints about the Dodge service many times here)they said they have to to change the front control module and the gear motor transfer case which costs around 7500 QAR.
Consequently think twice if you leave your car for full wash. At least tell them not to wash the engine if you do not want to get some trouble like me.

But I wanted to remind you that you can ask them not to wash your engine. One of my friends (He is also giving his car for washing to Teyseer weekly) told me that for the few last times they asked if he wants engine to be cleaned because Teyseer got some complaints about the same problem. I just wanted to remind people that they shall not ask for cleaning engine frequently. Thats it. Otherwise if you want a clean engine you can take that risk :).

Having your Car washed with High Pressure water is a danger to electronic Components that is a fact. But I know that this is done-and it causes problems. But as other suggests, it might be the Garage that are coming up with this repair to make more money.
I have been living here for 4 years and owned few cars. never had this kind of weird problems and service stations are ever reliable for me. your case is very strange.

Hmmm.. it's not just the car wash, I guess.
Some personal experience with other dodgy car repair workshops tell me that this is the norm in Qatar... Must watch them like a hawk or they pull a fast one on you - bill you despite not repairing or causing some other damage so you'll have to go get it fixed and pay some more.
