UK Manager in Qatar Driving License Help

I will be moving to Qatar soon as a manager at an engineering Company. I do not hold a UK driving license and would like like to take a Qatari one. I have extensive driving experience in the UK before ANPR (please Do not Condemn me) when I was younger. I would like to know:

process
timeline how long does it take to pass
will my new boss frown on me not having a licence
visa requirement
is it easier to employ a driver
is it an easy test
are there intensive courses out of normal working hours

I would be grateful for information on the Above many thanks in advance

The visa does not depend on a driving license. There are driving schools out here.

I know people who employ drivers, personally I feel that a car gives some freedom.
