Umrah Vaccination.

Please follow the steps to get the Umrah Vaccination without any hassles.

I am writing this because I couldnt get proper information even from those who performed Umrah within a year and getting vaccinated was so tiresome. I had to make 3 trips to Al Khor and it didn't end there! 

1) Keep a passport size photo ready with you.

2)The vacination can be taken only from your alloted health centre,  that too on specific days, which are usually Mondays and Wednesdays. DO NOT follow the information in the SCH website (http://www.sch.gov.qa/health-services/services-to-public/hajj-n-umrah-vaccinations).  It has not been updated as on 19th Jan 2016..  I have posted a request to update it at the earliest.

3) Not all health centres have cold storage facilities and only a limited stock of vaccines will be available.  So be there early. Eg. The evening timings are from 4-10 and I had to return without getting vaccinated even though I reached at 7 as per appointment.

4) You make take an appointment but having one doesn't guarantee that you will get a vaccination.

5) I almost had to cancel the trip since my wife couldn't get vaccinated (the vaccines went out of stock and the next vaccination date was too close to my departure date.  You can apply for the visa only after getting vaccinated). In such cases,  the last resort is Messaimeer health center.  Upon producing the vaccination cards of my daughter and mine and understanding our situation,  they agreed to vaccinate my wife.
