Unpaid Credit Card
Hope that everyone's well!
I left Dubai, a year ago, I have unpaid credit card from Standard Chartered Bank. As I am still recovering from some debts due to many months I have not received a salary from my previous company and expenses on coming here and find job, so I wasn’t able to settle my account in here, Qatar.
Just in time that I filed an emergency leave next month Feb 2011 due to marital problem. My family back in Philippines has received a letter 2 days ago from the bank saying that in 5 days I cannot pay the due (My debt is 10 thousand – and now with interest after a year it become 17thousand) I will be put in jail. I really wanted to settle after my vacation as I also wanted to come back in Dubai in few years.
Now my question is, will I have problem in the immigration when ill go home?
Please help me out guys, if you / friends have experienced same situation. Your help is greatly appreciated.
You thought you could just spend the amount using your credit card and you won't be held accountable???
Fraud.. Pay back the money
sir i think u must settle ur accounts as my friend experiece also in credit card matter, he settled the unpaid balances before he go to vacation because the bank give notice that he was already reported to the immigration. try to talk to the bank so that u know how to handle and settle for this one!
at Bbodda - i think you mis interpreted my above message. My bank is in Dubai and not in Qatar. @The boy thanks for your comment, i was able to manage it before but due to crisis i have this prob. I actualy need help not insult.
Settlement is the only way out, else you will be asked to go back from airport immigration to settle the bank dues.
basically, don't spend what you can't afford. to be honest. if you hadn't overspent on your credit card in the first place then no problemo..
Thanks for your comments. Any Kabayan who have experienced the same? Please share your experience.
Thank you.
first you have to settle the amount.
yeah, u will face problem coz the amount is big, if its below 2.5 or they may not make problem
Well, i think you would have problems.... it is better to talk with the bank, and try to settle the account, other wise you would be in a big mess...
God Bless you
