Wakra housing and living

Hi all

I have moved to qatar just over a week ago and planning to relocate the family very shortly into a family villa.
our eyes were set on Al Waab area as it does look nice and the compound well maintained. we are a family of 5, a couple and three boys aged 9,6 and 4 who will all need to attend school in September.

looking at the going rates for rent, I have been looking at alternative area and came accross Wakra? they have an english school and the rent are half the price than the one nearer Doha?

is there anyone here who could tell me about the area, such as activity for family, shops, and any idea on the EMS school

thanks

@manipesa

tell your management that your maintenance team are very slow(like snail)on responding with the complaints.

simple AC maintenance request is taking a decade to be addressed.

its nice if you work in wakra or ummsaeed... the traffic is getting worse.. in the next few months it might take 35-45 minutes to reach pearl round about from tayseer petrol station round about.

Furniture's, fixtures, flooring are all very bad at Ezdan. When you walk, the flooring tiles moves up and down. Lots of issues with toilets...

Ezdan is reaaly not a good choice... I completely agree with Green Tech and RRU etc., Quality is extremely bad...initially it looks OK but once you have moved in it's pathetic. Traffic is getting worse and you end up spending more time on the road..

WAKRA EZDAN is not at all good for a good living... it's a better version of labor accomodation

ezdan is getting worse now from OK...villas are poorly maintained. if you're the 2nd or 3rd occupant, expect a not so nice villa. traffic in the morning is horrible, esp in ezdan 3,4,5 & 11.

You get a 3bhk for 6400X12 months and 6 months free. So total QR 4200 per month for 18 months.

We cannot get a unfurnished home 3BHK for this price.

Its true that, Furniture is not good. Flooring and other things are not well too.

I came in a new Ezdan 30. After I came in I spoke to carpenter, plumber, electrician and made my home very well.

If we can commute to our work place easily then I always prefer Wakra.

Bachelor Ezdan is seperate and Family Ezdan is seperate.

thank you very much for the comment. I have read on a forum that Ezdam village is not as nice as it used to be with the pool not being maintained, and litter everywhere. plus group of young boys smoking sheesha and behaving quite badly

is that true or still the case?

I stay in Al Wakra. I am in Ezdan. I find it good. Its quite and peaceful.

Its true that malls and other activities are only in Doha. But for a person who loves staying at home loves staying here.

Thanks
