After 5 hours of travelling,I am jolted to the reality that I am really in Doha when greeted by the painted faces which direct you to look at the camera, etc.. It makes me sad..

How did the painted face affect your immigration process? If she kept retouching her makeup and delaying you and others, then it's makes sense to discuss it here.
this is their way of dressing up and looking good, their lifestyle. They have not asked for our approval on it.
Why do we judge people like this, when it has no bearing our daily life? That is sad.
My friend, every country has its own culture, lifestyle, rules and regulations. Criticism is ok if it is intended to point out anything that creates nuisance to public or something that is not justified... Who are we to criticize something like this? As metrocity correctly said, just remember we are in a foreign country...

most of them are very good and polite, may be at men & may not at women as they see other side also with paint faded because of travel fatigue.

They do not have the word meaning polite in there dictionary ,i dont know how d1 had good experience.
As fare as i felt from ma side they are people who are afraid of even smiling in fear of cracking dried layer of paint on there face.
